That's What Friends Are For

Friendship.
The dictionary says:

Friend (frend) noun.
1. A person whom one knows, likes and trusts.
2. A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; comrade.
3. One who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group.
4. An acquaintance.

The dictionary makes one small omission tho.
It doesn't speak of the years that a friendship endures,
the laughter that fills the air when friends are together,
the support, understanding and comfort a friend can offer or
the anguish you cannot escape from when a friend is dying.
The dictionary, I'm afraid, cannot begin to define the word:

Friend.

So then what is this magic called Friendship?
Is there a magic wand that silently transforms you and
those special people on a jouney into,
what sometimes can be a lifelong relationship?

Is it mutual admiration, common interests, the need to be a friend?
Or is it just an enduring tie that bonds you together,
allows you to almost think as one and gives you one of lifes greatest joys.

Friendships are precious jewels. Treat them as such.
Enjoy them!
Celebrate them! And never take them for granted.

Princess Hours

On December 18, 2006, Princess Hours premiered on ABS-CBN in the Philippines. Ratings hit 18.9%[1], and the show lagged against A Rosy Life of GMA7, which was in the latter's final week of airing. However, as the story unfolded, the ratings increased to about 24%, beating Jumong, another Koreanovela franchise of GMA7.

The characters have undergone name changes to better fit the Philippine populace: Chae-kyeong became Janelle, Lee Shin became Gian, Lee Yool became Troy, and Min Hyo-rin became Monique. As with other Koreanovelas, the show was dubbed in native Tagalog. Princess Hours is currently shown Monday to Thursday at 10:30 PM (Philippine Time) in the Primetime Bida of ABS-CBN.

The theme song included on the official soundtrack, "Perhaps Love" (Hangul:sarangingayo (romanized), originally sung by J and HowL), was translated into Tagalog as "Pag-ibig Nga Kaya" and performed by Christian Bautista and Rachelle Ann Go. Another theme song, entitled "If We Fall In Love", was composed by RJ Jimenez and sung by Yeng Constantino with the composer.

This Korean Telenovela is one of my all-time favorites. I like this one aside from "Memories Of Bali", "My Girl", "Forbidden Love" and "Green Rose". For those who are not yet watching the program, please try to do so. It's a wonderful korean telenovela brought to us by the No. 1 Network in the country, ABS-CBN.
